The Japan Foundation inaugurated a remarkable celebration of young artistic talent today with its inaugural art exhibition. This landmark event showcased the finest creations from a National-Level Painting Competition, which attracted participation from over 200 schools and an astounding total of 5,237 paintings nationwide.
Among the 33 exceptional paintings selected for display in the prestigious art gallery was a masterpiece by Anwesha Upadhyay, a talented Grade 5 student from St. Xavier’s High School, Sector-89. Anwesha’s artwork stood out amidst thousands of entries, reflecting her remarkable creativity and artistic vision. Her selection places our school among the top 33 institutions in this prestigious competition.
The exhibition served as a testament to the transformative power of art, providing a platform to nurture and celebrate the boundless imagination of young minds. It was an inspiring experience for all attendees, leaving a profound impact on the art community and underscoring the promising future of our nation’s emerging artists.

Children's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy in our classroom. The day was filled with exciting activities designed to entertain, educate, and celebrate the spirit of childhood.
To begin the day, we held a special morning assembly on occasion Gurupurab where the primary grade enlightened everyone with the teaching of Guru Nanak ji. This was followed by a Finale of winter series of Sports featuring inter house matches, dance, songs and instrumental music performed by our students.
In the classroom, the celebration continued with a series of engaging activities. Students participated in fun games like a quiz competition, musical chairs, Dumb charades . Teachers made the day extra special by organizing the game - Housie, that delighted the children and brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
The celebration concluded with a dance party & students sharing what they love about being children and their dreams for the future, cultivating a sense of unity and positivity in the classroom.
Overall, Children’s Day was a joyful occasion filled with laughter, creativity, and heartfelt moments, reminding everyone of the value of childhood and the bright potential within every child.

The Indo-Russian exchange program opened on a memorable note as delegates from School 334, St. Petersburg, were warmly welcomed at St. Xavier’s High School. The day began with a grand reception featuring captivating cultural performances, heartfelt addresses, and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp—a symbol of unity and enlightenment. The Gurpurab assembly this year was a heartfelt tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji, celebrated through music, dance, and drama. The children’s soulful renditions of Shabads filled the space with peace, capturing the essence of Guru Nanak’s teachings of Ek Onkar (oneness of God) and seva (selfless service). Their voices connected the audience to the spiritual core of the occasion.
A lively dance performance followed, embodying the joy, unity, and humility Guru Nanak championed. The children’s vibrant movements reflected his message of equality and compassion, spreading a sense of harmony and love.
The skit brought to life key moments from Guru Nanak’s life, showcasing his defiance against injustice and his belief in equality for all. Through this, the children illustrated the Guru's teachings of kindness, humility, and understanding.
