MUSIC & DANCE
We regard the performing arts as an integral part of a holistic education—essential for the intellectual, emotional and cultural development of our students. Our Music and Dance programmes are thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity, build confidence and cultivate a deep appreciation for the richness of India’s artistic traditions.
Our well-equipped music room serves as a vibrant hub where students are introduced to both vocal and instrumental music. Through structured instruction and guided exploration, they develop their musical skills, refine their sensibilities and grow in self-expression, emotional intelligence and artistic discipline.
The dance studio at St. Xavier’s is a dynamic space where students immerse themselves in a variety of classical, contemporary and folk dance forms. Dance education encourages physical expression, self-awareness and creative movement, helping students explore their identities and communicate through the universal language of rhythm and gesture.
Our collaboration with SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth)—a prestigious cultural movement enables to bring students in close contact with renowned maestros and classical performers from across the country, through interactive workshops, performances and lecture demonstrations. By integrating music and dance into our educational framework and enriching it through such cultural collaborations, St. Xavier’s High School ensures that students not only learn to perform—but also to listen, observe, appreciate and express with grace, confidence and cultural sensitivity.
THEATRE
Theatre education is seamlessly woven into the school curriculum to nurture creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking—skills that are indispensable in the 21st century.
Our students are encouraged to explore dramatic arts through improvisation, role-play, script writing and stage performances, which help them grow in confidence, emotional intelligence and expressive ability. Theatre fosters empathy and perspective-taking, enabling students to connect deeply with varied human experiences.
We take immense pride in our collaboration with the National School of Drama (NSD), India’s premier institute for theatre training and performance. Through this partnership, students gain access to expert-led workshops, interactive sessions, and performance-based learning modules conducted by experienced theatre professionals. This exposure to the world of professional theatre enhances their creative skills, broadens their understanding of stagecraft, and instills a deep appreciation for the dramatic arts.
ROBOTICS & STEAM EDUCATION
At St. Xavier’s High School, we are committed to fostering innovation, creativity, and analytical thinking through a robust STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) framework. Our fully equipped Robotics Lab provides students with a hands-on learning environment where they can design, code, and build real-world solutions—sharpening skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaborative innovation.
In partnership with NASCA (National Association of Students for Computer and Artificial Intelligence), students gain access to advanced tools, expert mentorship, and cutting-edge methodologies that enrich their understanding of technology and its application. This collaboration empowers them to grow as young innovators and future-ready learners, capable of adapting to an ever-evolving digital world.
At St. Xavier’s, robotics is not just a subject—it’s a launchpad for creative exploration and purposeful learning.
