From October 3 to 9, 2025, St. Xavier’s High School, Sector 89, proudly embarked on a transformative journey of learning, culture, and friendship through the Indo-Russian Student Exchange Programme with Educational Center No. 7, Ivanteevka, Russia.
This week-long collaboration reflected the true Xavierian ethos — nurturing global citizens who think beyond borders and learn through experience. The delegation of young Xaverians arrived in Moscow to a warm, traditional welcome marked by the Karavay ceremony, symbolizing hospitality and unity. What began as a formal exchange soon blossomed into a heartfelt connection between two vibrant communities.
Throughout the week, the students explored the essence of Russia — from the architectural majesty of the Kremlin and the Red Square to the cosmic wonders at the Museum of Cosmonautics. They engaged in creative and scientific pursuits at Techno Park in Fryazino, and found tranquility amid nature at a serene countryside farm. Each day offered a balance of discovery, learning, and laughter — whether through cultural workshops, art activities, or joyful time spent with host families.
The exchange offered far more than academic enrichment; it fostered empathy, adaptability, and lifelong friendship. The students embraced a new culture while proudly sharing India’s warmth, traditions, and values. The final day was a poignant culmination of emotions — heartfelt goodbyes, tearful embraces, and promises to meet again, proving that true connections transcend distance and language.
As the Xaverians returned home, they carried with them not just souvenirs, but stories of shared humanity, collaboration, and global unity. The programme stands as a shining milestone in the school’s legacy — a celebration of learning that goes beyond classrooms and continents.
