HOUSES
A cornerstone of our holistic approach are our School Houses, designed to identify, explore and nurture the unique talents and aptitudes of every student.
To foster inclusive participation and dynamic engagement, each student is assigned to one of our four prestigious houses:
St. Nicholas House – Red
St. Patrick House – Green
St. Michael House – Blue
St. Raphael House – Yellow
Functioning as dynamic micro-communities within the school, the houses cultivate a sense of belonging and pride. They provide students with a platform to demonstrate initiative, lead with integrity, and collaborate meaningfully. Leadership within each house is structured through appointed roles including a House Captain, Vice-Captain, and a team of Prefects, all mentored by a dedicated faculty member.
Beyond competition, these Houses serve as a framework for:
1) Instilling discipline and responsibility
2) Promoting collaboration across grade levels
3) Encouraging excellence through competition
4) Fostering loyalty, pride and a strong sense of identity
Throughout the year, students engage in a diverse spectrum of inter-house competitions spanning athletics, creative arts, public speaking, academic quizzes and social responsibility campaigns. Events such as Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Display Board Decoration, Poster Making, Mock Parliament and culinary contests like Master Chef offer students opportunities to showcase talent, innovation and teamwork. Students are also entrusted with responsibilities that promote discipline and order during key transition periods like lunch breaks and dispersal, reinforcing a culture of accountability.
Merit points are systematically awarded for participation, achievement and conduct across all domains—academic, co-curricular and sports. These points are meticulously recorded, and the house with the highest cumulative score is honoured with the prestigious Cock House Trophy at the end of the academic year.
