To commemorate the birth anniversary of Hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, National Sports Day is celebrated across country on August 29. This auspicious day was celebrated at Xavier's with high spirits.

A special assembly was conducted by students of Grade V(E) to spread awareness about the importance of sports and physical activities in our lives.

The assembly commenced with Surya Namaskar. The life achievements of Major Dhyan Chand & inspiration drawn were shared with the gathering. Students showcased the importance of sports through a small Nukkad Natak.

Further, they pledged to bring glory to the nation by participating in various sports. The assembly was concluded with an enthralling dance performance by students.

The event witnessed zealous and active participation by Xaverian’s & delivered inspirational lessons for all to imbibe.

Ms. Sadhana Dubey, Coordinator addressed the students towards the end and concluded the event with a message that “Education without sports activities is incomplete. The holistic development of a student is possible only when he or she is physically fit and emotionally balanced”.

Topic - " Rakshabandhan “
Rakshabandhan reminds us of the importance of relationships and the unbreakable bond between siblings.It teaches us to value and protect those we love , and to offer our support in times of need. 

The assembly started with a welcome speech followed by a thought on Rakshabandhan.
The students performed a beautiful dance that emphasised the importance of love and affection amongst siblings.

The vice principal ma’am Mrs. Sarika Rahul Chopra encouraged the students to tie environmental friendly Rakhis and emphasised on the the importance of emotional bonds.

An engaging workshop on Astronomy, Space Science, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) was organized by the Space India Team in collaboration with St. Xavier's High School, Sec 89. The aim of the workshop was to create awareness and generate interest among students in the field of space astronomy, space science, and related STEM disciplines.
The workshop had vital objectives as to introduce students to the field of space astronomy and space science, explore the various branches of space science and their significance, promote interest in STEM disciplines through interactive sessions and hands-on activities. The workshop also provided a platform for students to interact with experts in the field. The latter discussed various space missions undertaken by different countries and highlighted the objectives, challenges, and achievements of these missions. It was absolutely elating to witness Xaverians involved in practical understanding of space science concepts. Our precious ones engaged in activities such as assembling model rockets, conducting simple experiments related to space, and analysing astronomical data. These activities encouraged students to apply their knowledge practically and fostered a spirit of scientific inquiry within them. At the end of the workshop, Xaverians were seen buzzing with talks about the facts and the skilful rocket launch they witnessed.

"A positive mind, leads to a positive Life."

Grade VI D presented a special assembly on the topic ‘Positive Thinking’ on 23rd August.The students did a wonderful job of showcasing the power of Positivity. They performed a fantabulous enactment and conveyed their message through a mesmerising touching song. A foot tapping dance performance was also done which brought a smile on everybody’s face.
Our honourable Vice Principal ma'am, Ms Sarika R. Chopra appreciated the students for their diligent efforts and enlightened them about the importance of practicing positive thinking. It was a day filled with appreciation, fun and learning. We hope that the students forever cherish the knowledge bestowed upon them!

A special assembly was organized today at St. Xavier’s High School, Sector-89, by the students of Grade V-D on the topic "Gratitude: Empowering Positivity".

The event witnessed absolute participation by students, and the essence of this subtle act was delivered to all. The event encompassed activities such as poetry recitation, enactment on "Gratitude’s Magical Influence", captivating musical performances, and dance grooves by the students. Our respected Vice Principal, ma’am, enlightened the students with her supreme wisdom. She elaborated that it is important to show gratitude in life. Team Xavier believes continuity in learning is a vital key to education. Such special assemblies duly highlight the relevance of the themes delivered, with participation at all levels.

A Felicitation Ceremony was organised to enhance the zeal of the young xaverians and give recognition to their commendable performance in Trinity Speech & Drama Programme for the session 2022-23.
The event commenced with the symbolic lighting of the lamp followed by a mellifluous musical performance. Our worthy Vice Principal Ma’am Ms Sarika R Chopra and Guest of Honour Mr Varun Mata felicitated the young Xaverians for their accomplishments. The students performed a thrilling dance emphasizing the importance of preserving and conserving nature. 
The Guest of Honour Mr. Varun Mata, expressed his happiness and gratitude for being a part of the celebration of the numerous achievements of St. Xavier's High School. He congratulated the leadership, students, faculty and parents. He recognized the stature maintained by the school in both academic and co-scholastic areas during its journey through the years and emphasised the fact that excellence could only be achieved through hard work and perseverance. 
Our worthy Vice Principal ma’am Ms. Sarika R. Chopra addressed the gathering and thanked the Guest of Honour for gracing the ceremony with his presence. She praised the students for their achievements and consistent efforts and thanked the parents for their continued support. She also thanked the staff and students for making this event a success.

"Shaheed -e- Azam: Bhagat Singh"

The class assembly held on Friday, 18 August’23 was dedicated to commemorate the life and bravery of the iconic freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh. The assembly aimed to educate and inspire students about his contributions to India's struggle for independence and the values he stood for.

The assembly commenced by Prayer followed by thought and news update which was then followed by a powerful act that depicted key moments from Bhagat Singh's life. The act full of drama, dance, mime and emotions highlighted his involvement in revolutionary activities against British rule, and his sacrifices, which left everyone mesmerized.

The assembly also featured a soul-stirring rendition of rap and poem that resonated with Bhagat Singh's vision for a free and united India. 

The assembly was concluded with thoughtful guidance and appreciation by our distinguished Vice Prinicipal mam.
The assembly served as a reminder that the flame of patriotism and the pursuit of justice continue to burn brightly in the hearts of the youth of today.

“Freedom is not the absence of commitments, but the ability to choose and act responsibly."

The objective of the assembly was to emphasize that true independence is not just about being free from external constraints or influences, it is about having the liberty to make choices and decisions, while also recognizing the responsibility that comes with those choices. 

The students embraced the spirit of unity and harmony, celebrating India's rich culture. The Wings of Freedom soar towards unity, embracing the true essence of our nation - a land of diverse colors, cultures, and beliefs, united in the celebration of independence.
The students portrayed a true spirit of unity through their diverse voices and the power of coming together . They performed a dance to enhance the expression of unity and nation’s pride.
The Vice Principal ma’am, Ms. Sarika Rahul Chopra, amplified the meaning of the assembly’s theme and evoked the strong emotions amongst the students. The assembly created a sense of belongingness and instilled a sense of pride and unity.
With the heads held high and hearts full of reverence, a sacred act of flag hoisting was done by the vice principal ma’am .

The Essence of Friendship@ Special Assembly
St. Xavier’s High School, sec 89 was abuzz with excitement as Grade V- C students took centre stage to conduct a special assembly focused on the theme of "The Essence of Friendship." The event showcased the beautiful bonds of camaraderie and highlighted the importance of fostering meaningful connections within our school community.
With meticulous planning and heartfelt enthusiasm, the Grade V-C students orchestrated a memorable assembly that left an indelible mark on everyone present. The event kicked off with lord’s prayer, captivating rhythmic performance along with heartwarming skit of friendship that touched the hearts of students, teachers, and parents alike. The visuals and narratives beautifully portrayed the power of friendship in overcoming challenges and spreading joy.
The students' creative talents were on full display as they presented a series of engaging performances that captured the essence of friendship. An energetic dance routine symbolized unity and collaboration, reminding us that together we can achieve great things. A Solo recital of uplifting song about friendship filled the assembly hall with harmony, spreading a sense of warmth and togetherness. The assembly was a collaborative effort, with students working together to ensure its success. Their dedication, teamwork, and leadership skills were evident throughout the event, showcasing their growth and maturity. At conclusion the Vice Principal of the school shared her valuable words as the essence of friendship was showcased during the assembly.
