In a resounding affirmation of its commitment to global citizenship and transform education, St. Xavier’s High School, Gurgaon, proudly led a 26-member delegation—comprising 19 students and 7 academic mentors—on an international exchange programme with School No. 334, St. Petersburg, Russia.
Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Mohit Sachdeva, the week-long engagement offered an unparalleled confluence of academic innovation, cultural immersion, and diplomatic exchange. From hands-on explorations in AI, robotics, and neurotechnology during “Engineering Day” to awe-inspiring visits to the St. Petersburg Mining University, Pavlovsk Palace, and the Mikhailovsky Theatre, the programme embodied education beyond classrooms.
What made the experience truly profound was the emotional depth of staying with Russian host families—where hospitality, affection, and shared humanity became the true language of exchange.
At the heart of the programme was a formal roundtable dialogue with senior dignitaries, marking a significant moment in educational diplomacy.

Students were felicitated for their stellar academic performance and for achieving the admirable milestone of 100% attendance, reflecting their consistency and commitment. Adding to the pride of the occasion was the honouring of students who successfully earned Trinity College London certifications in Speech and Drama and Communication Skills, showcasing their eloquence and confidence.
The presence of our esteemed Director Sir, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva, and revered Principal Ma’am, Ms. Renu Singh, elevated the event. Their words of encouragement urged students to remain curious, committed, and courageous in the pursuit of their goals, while also acknowledging the integral role of teachers and parents in shaping their journey.

In celebration of Earth Day and with a mission to instil environmental responsibility, the young changemakers of St. Xavier’s High School, Sector-89 embarked on an enriching excursion to the Give Me Trees Trust, founded by the visionary environmentalist Peepal Baba. The experiential learning trip, held at the BSF Camp, Gurugram, was conducted in collaboration with Go Sharpener and thoughtfully led by Mr. Vineet Vohra, a dedicated environmentalist committed to igniting young minds with green wisdom.
The day unfolded with a tranquil Nature Walk, offering students a moment to connect with nature in its purest form. Guided by Mr. Vohra, they understood the power of small sustainable choices and discovered how each one of us can contribute to a healthier planet. The students were fascinated by how simple, everyday actions can build a legacy of conservation and care.
Adding to this memorable experience was a rare and humbling interaction with the BSF jawans, whose presence reminded students of the brave guardians who protect our borders with selfless dedication. Their stories inspired not just pride but also a sense of purpose and gratitude.
As a symbolic takeaway, each student returned with seeds to sow—a gesture that reflected not just the spirit of Earth Day but also their personal pledge to nurture the Earth with care and commitment.

Workshop on Mental Well-being by Dr. Preeti Singh at St. Xavier’s High School, Gurgaon (Sec-89)
We were honored to host Dr. Preeti Singh, Sr. Consultant in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, for an insightful and impactful workshop tailored for students of Grades 9–12.
An alumnus of the prestigious NIMHANS, Bangalore and a registered clinical psychologist with the RCI and the American Psychological Association, Dr. Singh is also a proud member of the Clinical Psychology Society of India. Her trauma-informed and queer-affirmative approach made the session inclusive, empathetic, and empowering for all attendees.
The workshop covered:
 • Understanding stress and academic pressure
 • Building emotional resilience
 • Coping strategies for anxiety and self-doubt
 • Importance of communication and mental well-being

This ceremony marked the formal installation of the newly elected Junior and Senior Student Council members. It recognized the young torchbearers of the Xavierian legacy, who were entrusted with the mantle of leadership.
The proceedings commenced with profound reverence and enthusiasm. The ceremonial pinning of badges and presentation of sashes were conducted by our esteemed Director Sir and respected Principal Ma’am, who extended heartfelt congratulations to the student leaders.
